Dave,

That is some really awesome stuff! It's so much fun watching those hounds work. How much training is involved? Also, can you explain what happens when the hounds pick up on one. Is it a one time flush or do they stay with the rabbit and track it for some time? Thanks.

we train beagles as pups to run a bunny. we also buy started hounds. those are hounds that have been started to run bunnys by other people. there are a bunch of differant style beagles. fast, med fast. med speed and slow. we run a med speed beagle. called spo hounds. they run a close line which means they stay on the bunny track real close and tight check work witch means when the bunny makes a turn the do not over run the track and stay on the line that the bunny is running. the hounds stay on the track of the bunny till they loose it or holes up or we shoot it. we just run them right now to keep them in shape. a bunny will circle and most of the time come back where the bunny is jumped by the hounds.3 of the hounds in the clip are new hounds. we bought them started and had the about a month. they were field trial hounds and were never hunted over. had to break them from running deer with e-collars. i will post some other clips from a couple weeks ago. the video i posted were clips i shot when they brought the bunny back around. sometimes they will run the bunny out of hearing range then bring it back. its hard to keep up with them to tape. dave
