Default HatCam Video shooting a BowTech Destroyer 350 at 80yds

Hi - I'm new to Hatcams forum. Rando noticed my post on AT forum, and asked me to post it here as well.

It's my very first hatcam video, and I was experimenting shooting my new BowTech Destroyer 350 compound bow at the archery range at 80yds.

You will also get to see my dog Tozer (he's my real avatar).

Anyway, I'm trying to decide whether to use youtube or vimeo. So I'll post both and you all decide which is better. I D/L the same video to both.

Personally I think the quality of the vimeo is superior.

Great footage, 80 yd shots are no joke. Keep the camera rolling, being from the East we dont usually (if ever) get an 80 yd shot opportunity.

Yeah. I had a 70yd shot at a 6pt bull 2 ys ago. I was crouched down though, and arrow went low.

Last fall I had a 30yd shot at 6x7

Fall of 2008 I had 40yd shot at 5x6

Year before that I had 40yd shot at a Spike, but didn't take any pics.

Until the last 2-3 yrs, I never would have considered taking a shot over 50yds.

The new bows and accessories have changed my mind though.

BTW, I think I like the VIMEO better. How about U?

Great shooting ! ! That takes a lot of practice, and that nice bow ya got there ! I like the camera angle you have, too.. Let's see some at a closer range !

I've done some Archery 3 D shoots with shots up to I think 50 yards at elk and bear. I usually lose some arrows to that position I am only shooting a 25 year old Peerson Renegade 62 lb bare handed, though.. My confort range is - 25 yards.
YES, keep the camera rolling !

I'll check out Vimeo, too..

Haha! Just noticed your post. I have never moose hunted before, and don't know anything about it. Probably a lot different from elk hunting.

We have no moose in oregon that I'm aware of unless there's one in a zoo somewhere.

It's kinda funny. It rememinds me of when my wife and I were in Yellowstone Park in 2007. And on one of the days there was traffic backed up (I mean way back), and we thought there must be a Grizzly, or Moose or something. So we waited...and waited...and waited. Finally the park patrol showed up and started traffic going again, and when we finally got up there where the sighted wildlife was...we found out it was some lady from France who had never seen a coyote before! Haha! It never dawned on me that someone would get a such a big thrilll and hold up a mile of traffic just to get some pics of a varmint.

And we had been waiting for something like 45 minutes! (of course the coyote was gone by the time we got up there!) Dang!

So anyways...in case you don't know...those are Elk in the pics...not Moose.

That's some serious shooting. I couldn't hit a bull in the butt at 5 steps with a bow. lol Looks like you take this stuff as seriously as I do my bass fishing. My hat's off to you. Great shooting and great video!

Ha! I've been told that a butt shot is a good shot to take on an Elk (with a bow & arrow that is). I've never done it though (I don't have the guts to try).
